This is a field where all Xiaomi laptops, especially those launched more recently (from 2018 onwards), stand out enormously. Let’s be clear: if you start looking, you will find another laptop with similar specifications at a technical level. Now, when you ask these ones:

There is a reason why their smartphones have become number 1 in sales in USA in less than 1 year since they landed here, right? Well now take that, and apply it to their laptops. That said, let’s get down to business.
7) Laptop screen of Xiaomi Redmibook 16 (2024) United States
As we were saying a moment ago, our favorite laptop has a 16-inch screen and, as in its previous version, Xiaomi has pulled out all the stops. For it is not just a high-definition screen, but nothing more and nothing less than a screen with 2.5K resolution (2560×1600).
It has a brightness of up to 400 nits, an aspect ratio of 16:10 and refresh rate of 120Hz, has TÜV Rheinland Low Blue Light and SGS Low Visual Fatigue certifications and supports DC dimming and Dolby Vision.
As far as screen size is concerned (and consequently, size of the entire notebook itself), the Redmibook line did not have 16” screens since the old Redmibook 16 , currently discontinued.

And if that wasn’t enough, it features an ultra-fast Thunderbolt 4 Type-C (or USB-C) Thunderbolt 4 charging port. This will allow you to charge your Xiaomi laptop to 50% in just 35 minutes, at a speed of 100W, and remember, 50% of 16 hours is 8 hours, not bad, right?
In addition, thanks to the Type-C (or USB-C) cable, you will be able to charge your Xiaomi laptop with any powerbank or portable battery you carry with you for your smartphone as well. In short: without battery, you’re not going to run out of juice with this Redmibook 16 (2024).
9) Connectivity and peripherals
This Xiaomi Redmibook 16 laptop features 2*2 dual MIMO antennas, supports 802.11ax (Wi-Fi 6) network protocol. In addition, it features 2.4GHz dual-band and 5GHz dual-band and supports Bluetooth 5.2. With regard to its connections, it has the following:

Moving on to the keyboard, it features a full-size layout with 1.5mm keystroke.
As for the trackpad or touchpad, it is 6″ inches (exactly 125mm x 81.6mm). As for the rest, it supports multi-finger gesture control (called Microsoft PTP clickpad technology), which is quite common, allowing us to do things like swipe up and down on the screen, switch programs/screens, zoom, and many others.
In addition, Xiaomi now incorporates premium features typical of the Mi line into the Redmibooks. By this I mean that yes, it also has a 3-level backlit keyboard and fingerprint unlocking, just like the Xiaomi Mi Notebook Pro.
Finally, a very recent and modern aspect that Redmibooks include are wearables, such as a smartwatch, a Xiaomi Mi Band, etc.
Basically, you can link them to your Redmibook and if you get close, it unlocks without the need to enter the password, and if you move away, it locks automatically. Something very useful, smart and cool (uh, how many cool words). We can see it in action in the following video:
And that’s not all! The Redmibook 2024 comes equipped with HyperOS Connect, the brand’s new operating system with which you can communicate and integrate your Xiaomi devices in real time, creating a unified ecosystem – you can even access your smartphone’s camera from your laptop! Cool, isn’t it?
10) Camera and audio
Finally Xiaomi has put some common sense in this field, and has endowed this new Redmibook 16 with front camera with 1080P resolution. Something so necessary now that so many of us work from home. So another plus for Xiaomi.
As for audio, it has two stereo speakers from the hand of Dolby with immersive high quality sound system DTS-dimensional with 2W x 2.
